Surah 9 At-Tawba — Ayah 11
فَإِن تَابُوا۟ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ فَإِخْوَٰنُكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ ۗ وَنُفَصِّلُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍۢ يَعْلَمُونَ
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން توبة ވެ، ނަމާދު قائم ކޮށް، زكاة ދީފިނަމަ، ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނަކީ، دين ގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ أخ ންނެވެ. އެނގޭބަޔަކަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތައް تفصيل ކޮށްދެއްވަމެވެ.
fa-in tābū wa-aqāmū l-ṣalata waātawū l-zakata fa-ikh'wānukum fī l-dīni wanufaṣṣilu l-āyāti liqawmin yaʿlamūna
Word by word
- فَإِن fa-in But if
- تَابُوا۟ tābū they repent
- وَأَقَامُوا۟ wa-aqāmū and establish
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ l-ṣalata the prayer
- وَءَاتَوُا۟ waātawū and give
- ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ l-zakata the zakah
- فَإِخْوَٰنُكُمْ fa-ikh'wānukum then (they are) your brothers
- فِى fī in
- ٱلدِّينِ ۗ l-dīni [the] religion
- وَنُفَصِّلُ wanufaṣṣilu And We explain in detail
- ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ l-āyāti the Verses
- لِقَوْمٍۢ liqawmin for a people
- يَعْلَمُونَ yaʿlamūna (who) know
Tafsir · Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
(They have purchased with the Ayat of Allah a little gain,) idolators exchanged following the Ayat of Allah with the lower affairs of life that they indulged in,
(and they hindered men from His way), trying to prevent the believers from following the truth,
(evil indeed is that which they used to do. With regard to a believer, they respect not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant!) 9:9-10. We explained these meanings before, as well as, the meaning of,
