Surah 35 Faatir — Ayah 3
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ ۚ هَلْ مِنْ خَٰلِقٍ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ
මිනිසුනේ! ඔබ කෙරෙහි ඇති අල්ලාහ්ගේ වරප්රසාදයන් සිතා බලනු. අහසින්ද, භූමියෙන්ද, ඔබට ආහාර ලබා දෙන්නා අල්ලාහ් හැර වෙනත් උත්පාදකයෙකු සිටින්නේද? ඔහු හැර වෙනත් හිමියෙකු (ඇත්තේම) නැත. එබැවින් (ඔහුව හැර දමා) ඔබ කොහේ නම් දුවන්නෙහුද?
yāayyuhā l-nāsu udh'kurū niʿ'mata l-lahi ʿalaykum hal min khāliqin ghayru l-lahi yarzuqukum mina l-samāi wal-arḍi lā ilāha illā huwa fa-annā tu'fakūna

- يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا yāayyuhā O
- ٱلنَّاسُ l-nāsu mankind
- ٱذْكُرُوا۟ udh'kurū Remember
- نِعْمَتَ niʿ'mata (the) Favor
- ٱللَّهِ l-lahi (of) Allah
- عَلَيْكُمْ ۚ ʿalaykum upon you
- هَلْ hal Is
- مِنْ min (there) any
- خَـٰلِقٍ khāliqin creator
- غَيْرُ ghayru other (than) Allah
- ٱللَّهِ l-lahi other (than) Allah
- يَرْزُقُكُم yarzuqukum who provides for you
- مِّنَ mina from
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ l-samāi the sky
- وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ wal-arḍi and the earth
- لَآ lā (There is) no
- إِلَـٰهَ ilāha god
- إِلَّا illā but
- هُوَ ۖ huwa He
- فَأَنَّىٰ fa-annā Then, how
- تُؤْفَكُونَ tu'fakūna (are) you deluded
Tafsir · Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
The Evidence of Tawhid
Allah shows His servants that they should worship Him Alone, for just as He is Independent in His power of creation and provision, so He should be worshipped Alone with no partners or associates such as idols and false gods. So Allah says:
(La ilaha illa Huwa. How then are you turning away (from Him)) meaning, `how can you turn away from Him after this has been made clear and this proof has been made obvious, but you still worship idols and false gods' And Allah knows best.
