Sura 17 Al-Israa — Aya 9
إِنَّ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ يَهْدِى لِلَّتِى هِىَ أَقْوَمُ وَيُبَشِّرُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًۭا كَبِيرًۭا
Hakika hii Qur'ani inaongoa kwenye ya yaliyo nyooka kabisa, na inawabashiria Waumini ambao wanatenda mema ya kwamba watapata malipo makubwa.
inna hādhā l-qur'āna yahdī lillatī hiya aqwamu wayubashiru l-mu'minīna alladhīna yaʿmalūna l-ṣāliḥāti anna lahum ajran kabīran
Neno kwa neno
- إِنَّ inna Indeed
- هَـٰذَا hādhā this
- ٱلْقُرْءَانَ l-qur'āna the Quran
- يَهْدِى yahdī guides
- لِلَّتِى lillatī to that
- هِىَ hiya which
- أَقْوَمُ aqwamu (is) most straight
- وَيُبَشِّرُ wayubashiru and gives glad tidings
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ l-mu'minīna to the believers
- ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who
- يَعْمَلُونَ yaʿmalūna do
- ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ l-ṣāliḥāti the righteous deeds
- أَنَّ anna that
- لَهُمْ lahum for them
- أَجْرًۭا ajran (is) a reward
- كَبِيرًۭا kabīran great
Tafsir · Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
Praising the Qur'an
Allah praises His noble Book, the Qur'an, which He revealed to His Messenger Muhammad ﷺ. It directs people to the best and clearest of ways.
وَيُبَشِّرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
(gives good news to those who believe,) in it a
الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ الصَّـلِحَاتِ
(those who do righteous deeds,) in accordance with it, telling them
أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا كَبِيرًا
(that they will have a great reward,) i.e., on the Day of Resurrection. And He tells
وأَنَّ الَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالاٌّخِرَةِ
(those who do not believe in the Hereafter,) that
لَهُمْ عَذَاباً أَلِيماً
(for them is a painful torment,) i.e. on the Day of Resurrection. As Allah says:
فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
(... then announce to them a painful torment.) 84:24
