Surah 7 Al-A'raaf — Ayah 49
أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أَقْسَمْتُمْ لَا يَنَالُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ ۚ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَآ أَنتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ
(Və fağır, yoxsul mö’minləri kafirlərin böyüklərinə göstərərək:) “Allah onları Öz mərhəmətinə nail etməyəcək, -deyə and içdiyiniz kəslər bunlarmıdır?” – söyləyəcəklər. (O anda Allah həmin mö’minlərə müraciətlə belə buyuracaq:) “Cənnətə daxil olun. Sizin heç bir qorxunuz yoxdur və siz qəm-qüssə görməyəcəksiniz!”
ahāulāi alladhīna aqsamtum lā yanāluhumu l-lahu biraḥmatin ud'khulū l-janata lā khawfun ʿalaykum walā antum taḥzanūna

- ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna the ones whom
- أَقْسَمْتُمْ aqsamtum you had sworn

- يَنَالُهُمُ yanāluhumu (will) grant them
- ٱللَّهُ l-lahu Allah
- بِرَحْمَةٍ ۚ biraḥmatin Mercy
- ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ud'khulū Enter
- ٱلْجَنَّةَ l-janata Paradise
- لَا lā (There will be) no
- خَوْفٌ khawfun fear
- عَلَيْكُمْ ʿalaykum upon you
- وَلَآ walā and not
- أَنتُمْ antum you
- تَحْزَنُونَ taḥzanūna will grieve
Tafsir · Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
("Of what benefit to you was your gathering...") meaning, your great numbers,
("...and your arrogance") This Ayah means, your great numbers and wealth did not save you from Allah's torment. Rather, you are dwelling in His torment and punishment. `Ali bin Abi Talhah reported from Ibn `Abbas,
(Are they those, of whom you swore that Allah would never show them mercy) refers to the people of Al-A`raf who will be told when Allah decrees:
((Behold! It has been said to them): "Enter Paradise, no fear shall be on you, nor shall you grieve.")
