Surah 7 Al-A'raaf — Ayah 185
أَوَلَمْ يَنظُرُوا۟ فِى مَلَكُوتِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَىْءٍۢ وَأَنْ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ قَدِ ٱقْتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُمْ ۖ فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ
“และพวกเขามิได้มองดูในอำนาจทั้งหลายแห่งบรรดาชั้นฟ้า และแผ่นดิน และสิ่งใดสิ่งหนึ่งที่อัลลอฮ์ได้ทรงบังเกิดขึ้นดอกหรือ ? และแท้จริงอาจเป็นไปได้ว่า กำหนดเวลาแห่งความตายของพวกเขานั้นได้ใกล้มาแล้ว แล้วก็ถ้อยคำใดเล่าที่พวกเขาจะศรัทธากันหลังจากอัล-กุรอาน ”
awalam yanẓurū fī malakūti l-samāwāti wal-arḍi wamā khalaqa l-lahu min shayin wa-an ʿasā an yakūna qadi iq'taraba ajaluhum fabi-ayyi ḥadīthin baʿdahu yu'minūna
Word by word
- أَوَلَمْ awalam Do not
- يَنظُرُوا۟ yanẓurū they look
- فِى fī in
- مَلَكُوتِ malakūti (the) dominion
- ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ l-samāwāti (of) the heavens
- وَٱلْأَرْضِ wal-arḍi and the earth
- وَمَا wamā and what
- خَلَقَ khalaqa has (been) created
- ٱللَّهُ l-lahu (by) Allah
- مِن min of
- شَىْءٍۢ shayin (every)thing
- وَأَنْ wa-an and that
- عَسَىٰٓ ʿasā perhaps
- أَن an [that]
- يَكُونَ yakūna has
- قَدِ qadi verily
- ٱقْتَرَبَ iq'taraba come near
- أَجَلُهُمْ ۖ ajaluhum their term
- فَبِأَىِّ fabi-ayyi So in what
- حَدِيثٍۭ ḥadīthin statement
- بَعْدَهُۥ baʿdahu after this
- يُؤْمِنُونَ yu'minūna will they believe
Tafsir · Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ
(In what message after this will they then believe) Allah says, what more warnings, and discouragements should compel them to believe, if the warnings and threats that Muhammad ﷺ brought them from Allah in His Book do not compel them to do so Allah said next,
