Surah 17 Al-Israa — Ayah 41
41
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِى هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ وَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ إِلَّا نُفُورًۭا
അവര് ആലോചിച്ച് മനസ്സിലാക്കുവാന് വേണ്ടി ഈ ഖുര്ആനില് നാം (കാര്യങ്ങള്) വിവിധ രൂപത്തില് വിവരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാല് അവര്ക്ക് അത് അകല്ച്ച വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുക മാത്രമാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്.
walaqad ṣarrafnā fī hādhā l-qur'āni liyadhakkarū wamā yazīduhum illā nufūran

- وَلَقَدْ walaqad And verily
- صَرَّفْنَا ṣarrafnā We have explained
- فِى fī in
- هَـٰذَا hādhā this
- ٱلْقُرْءَانِ l-qur'āni the Quran
- لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ liyadhakkarū that they may take heed
- وَمَا wamā but not
- يَزِيدُهُمْ yazīduhum it increases them
- إِلَّا illā except
- نُفُورًۭا nufūran (in) aversion
Tafsir · Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِى هَـذَا الْقُرْءَانِ
(And surely, We have explained in this Qur'an) meaning, `We have explained Our warni- ngs so that they may remember the proof, evidence and exhorta- tions contained there- in, and be prevented from Shirk, wrong- doing and scandal.'
وَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ
(but it increases them in naught) the wrong- doers among them
إِلاَّ نُفُورًا
(save aversion.) aversion towards the truth; they go further away from it.
