Rights of neighbors are emphasized so often because faith must soften real streets, not only abstract ideals.

Islam connects worship with social warmth: you guard your prayer, and you also guard your neighbor from harm — including harm from noise, neglect, or gossip. Scholars remind us that ‘neighbor’ is broad: the one near your home, and sometimes the one near your workplace or travel. A beautiful community is not built only from mosques and programs; it is built from consistent kindness when resources are tight and moods are short. Start where you are: a greeting, a check-in, help with groceries, patience with difference.
