The foundation of Islamic monotheism
قل هو الله أحد الله الصمد لم يلد ولم يولد ولم يكن له كفواً أحد
"Say: He is Allah, the One! Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begets not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him."
Belief in Allah is the cornerstone of Islamic faith. It encompasses the absolute oneness of God (Tawhid), His perfect attributes, and His absolute sovereignty over all creation.
Tawhid is the absolute oneness of Allah in His essence, attributes, and actions. It means that Allah alone deserves worship and that He has no partners or equals in any aspect.
Allah has beautiful names (Asma ul-Husna) that describe His perfect attributes. Muslims are encouraged to learn and reflect upon these names to develop a deeper relationship with Allah.
